Crane of Fortune – A Thousand Well Wishes

I have a simple stamping card for you today. I used the Crane of Fortune Stamp Set and Symbols of Fortune DSP from the Symbols of Fortune Suite Collection for my card today. This collections is perfect for quickly creating simple and pretty cards.

I started with a Crumb Cake cardbase. Then I cut a piece of the Symbols of Fortune DSP to 4″x5-1/4″. I added a bit of Tear & Tape on the back side of the DSP to adhere a piece of Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon. Then adhered it to my cardbase.

To create the label, I stamped the sentiment from the Crane of Fortune Stamp set in Calypso Coral on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock. Using the Label Me Lovely Punch, I punched the label so that the sentiment is close to the bottom of the label. Then, attaching a scrap piece of cardstock to the back of the label, I put it back in the punch to crop it a bit closer to the sentiment from the top, as you can see in the picture above.

Before adding the label to the card, I punched a second label from Calypso Coral cardstock. I cut it in half and adhered it to the Basic White label. Then I added it to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To my surprise the label fit nicely over the ribbon. For the final touch I added a few Polished Dots.

Sentimental Swirls For You

I have another card for you that showcases my favorite stamp set in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog, Sentimental Swirls. As well as my favorite DSP in the Friendly Hello Bundle, from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I created this card for the Luv 2 Stamp Group Wednesday Weekly Challenge.

The layout of my card is a great way to use multiple patterns of DSP. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach them to a Basic White Thick Cardstock cardbase.

The flower and leaves in the Sentimental Swirls stamp set are 2 step stamps and coordinate with the Flowers & Leaves Punch. I stamped the outline of the flowers in Petal Pink, Pool Party and Fresh Freesia, The leaf outline is stamped in Granny Apple Green. Using the solid image of the flowers and leaves I stamped the ink off on my grid paper first before stamping the flowers and leaves. I love how they turned out.

I die cut the Basic White label using the Sweet So Sweetly dies. The For You sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I added it to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and glue dots to add the flowers and leaves. I brushed the flowers with a Wink of Stella and added a few Elegant Faceted Gems. My Thank You Cards this month feature 2 new products, The Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set available in the Jan- June 2022 Mini Catalog and the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper from the Friendly Hello Bundle available in the Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Using the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper, I cut 2 Patterns for the card front. Stacking them together to cut them at the same time, I put them on my Paper Trimmer to cut them diagonally.

Using the largest card from the Assorted Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack as my card base, I attached 2 different patterns of the DSP I cut with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I love the look of the 2 patterns together on the card front. Cutting them together made it very easy to match them up so they fit together nicely when I put them on the card front.

I die cut the label in Basic White with the Tasteful Labels dies. Using my new favorite stamp set from the Mini Catalog, Sentimental Swirls, I stamped the Thank You in Fresh Freesia. The butterflies are stamped in Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink on the label. Then I decided to stamp them again and fussy cut them out to add with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon to add to the back of the sentiment with some Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Then I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets, cut a square and put that over top of the ribbon. This will keep the label from sagging and the ribbon in place. If you haven’t tried the Foam Adhesive sheets yet, give them a try. They are very easy to cut to whatever shape you need, and give a little extra support to whatever elements you use them with.

After attaching the label to the card, I added the extra butterflies that I fussy cut. I like the extra dimension of adding them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I couldn’t resist adding a Wink of Stella to the to make them shimmer. For the finishing touch, I added a few of the Opal Rounds to the cards.

Friendly Hello Sneak Peek

Are you ready for a sneak peek from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog and Jan-Feb 2022 Sale-a-bration? I used the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards pack, Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes which will be in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog. From the Jan-Feb 2022 Sale-a-bration I used a sentiment from the Friendly Hello Stamp set. Both of these will be available beginning on Jan. 4, 2022.

Memories & More Card Packs and the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes make card making quick and easy. You can use them alone or along with a few extras as I’ve done with my Hello Friend card.

I choose the Garden Green card from the Memories & More Card Pack as the first layer for my card and adhered it to the large cardbase from the Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Then I added one of the Square Vellum Doilies with a piece of Tear & Tape in the middle of the doily so it wouldn’t be visible once I added the sentiment.

Next, I fussy cut the flower image from a Memories & More Card that you see below on the right, to add to my card. I love the subtle coloring on the flower image.

The sentiment is stamped it in Misty Moonlight on a label cut from the Sweet Labels dies in Basic White. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach first the label then the flower image that I fussy cut from the Memories & More Card. The 2021-2023 In Color Jewels added a pretty touch to the card. I love how this card turned out and it was so quick and easy to do! I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek.

I’d love to be your Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator. All the Stampin’ Up! supplies used to make my card will be available in my online store beginning on Jan. 4, 2022. Color & Contour Bundle

Today’s post is all about the Color & Contour Bundle available in the Annual Catalog. This great bundle includes the Color & Contour Photopolymer Stamp set and the Scallop Contours Dies. The stamps and dies pair perfectly together to create card fronts, sentiment labels and more. Bundles are a great value, when you purchase a bundle you save 10%!

The Color & Contour Photopolymer Stamp Set includes sentiments & Two-Step floral image stamps. The open floral images give you options to keep it simple or fill them in however you choose. Use the coordinating filler stamps for an elegant watercolor design or try something new and watercolor freehand using Water Painters or Stampin’ Blends®. Use ink and sponge daubers on the filler stamps to blend an ombre effect. The fonts of the sentiment stamps make them easy to pair with the floral images in the stamp set or other stamps.

The Scallop Contour Dies are one of my favorite dies in the annual catalog. The six scalloped border dies can be used alone or with the Color & Contour Stamp Set or any other stamp set. From cute card fronts to embellished tags to artistic sentiment labels. And don’t stop at just cards! Create scalloped frames for photos, fun borders for scrapbooks, and whatever else you can think of. Pair these dies with the Color & Contour Stamp Set, or see what sentiments from other stamp sets fit perfectly inside each rectangle.

Keep scrolling for inspiration. These are just a few of the amazing projects that you can make with the Color & Contour bundle.

Biggest Wish

My son’s birthday was this past Sunday. He is our youngest and has just turned 20! Where did that time go? Masculine cards are always challenging for me but I think this one turn out quite nice. The inspiration for this card came from the Annual Catalog. The colors, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point, caught my eye as I was flipping though for inspiration.

Putting it all together

Once I pulled the ink pads out I decided to use the same colors in the Brights 6x 6″ Designer Series Paper Assortment. I cut strips of each color and adhered them to a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then using my mini paper trimmer I trimmed up the strips to fit on my card.

I stamped Happy, from the Biggest Wish Stamp set, in alternating colors of Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay on a strip of Basic White Cardstock. Photopolymer stamps make stamping this sentiment multiple times very easy. Once I placed the stip on the cardstock layer where I liked it, I added the Birthday sentiment in Pacific Point. I attached the carstock layer with the DSP strips to a Basic White Cardbase. Then I attached the sentiment strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals to my card and trimmed it down to fit my card.

To finish off my card, I of course had to add some bling. I used Stampin’ Blends to add a bit of color to a few Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials to add to my card.
