Gift tags are one of my favorite projects to make so I was super excited for today’s Blog Hop! After a Luv 2 Stamp Group Team event earlier this month I had some left over Beary Christmas Suite products, which I used to create my gift tags.

My grandmother always used the previous years Christmas cards she receive to make her gift tags. This inspired me to use a cardbase for my tags from the Beary Christmas Memories & More Cards and Envelopes. I cut 2″ off the end of each side of the cardbase, and then cut each of these strips in half. I then cut the center of the cardbase on the long side into 3 pieces at 2″. Click here to download the PDF with the measurements.

These 3 gift tags are created using the center pieces of the cardbase with the scoreline so they open. I used the stickers from the Beary Christmas Memories & More Cards Pack, and the Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins to decorate them. I punched a hole in the top let corner to thread in the gold Simply Elegant Trim .

These next 4 gift tags were created using the end pieces of the cardbase. I used the Very Best Trio Punch to create the tag top and added a touch of bling with the Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins. Each of these tags were created using several different products from the Beary Christmas Suite.

I fussy cut the image for this tag from one the cards in the Beary Christmas Memories & More Card Pack, the sentiment is a sticker.

For this tag I stamped the snowflake image and tree from the Beary Christmas Bundle. I heat embossed the snow flakes and white on the tree. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red and fussy cut.

This tag is decorated with the sticker and the sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink.

The polar bear is punched from the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper using the Beary Cute Punch. I added one of the stickers to the bottom of the tag to match the bears sweater and stamped the sentiment.

I used the Spruced Up Stamp set to stamp the To: and From: in Real Red ink. This retired set is still available in the Clearance Rack for $12.50, such a great deal!

Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop Featuring Ribbon

Welcome to the

Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop!!

Our theme this month is Ribbon!!

We are excited to sharing our projects with you! We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products. Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants. You can click on their names to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. We hope you enjoy all our projects featuring Ribbon!

The ribbon I have chosen to use on my card is the Boho Blue Textured Ribbon. It is so soft and easy to work with. I love the texture of this ribbon, it gives the ribbon a bit of shimmer effect in the light. I have always tied knots when using ribbon on my cards in the past because I struggle with tying bows. I always seemed to have a hard time holding the knot tight while tying the loops of the bow. I have a bow tying tip if you struggle like I did.

Thanks to the tweezers in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit, it’s easier for me to tie a bow. Here’s how I do it. You can see in the photo below, once I have tied the knot I used tweezers pinch the knot tight, then I’m able to finished tying the bow. The tweezers easily slip out of the bow and the I tighten the bow.

I die cut the Boho Blue Cardstock with the scallop die in the Scallop Contours Dies. When I’m die cutting I use washi tape to hold the die in place.

I stamped the ladybugs from the Hello Ladybug Stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Lemon Lolly Ink. I brushed the ladybug spots with a wink of stella. To stamp the sentiment I used Stampin’ Up! Masking Paper to stamp the words bug me in Boho Blue and the rest of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I die cut it out with the label from the Stylish Shapes Dies, which I added to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lemon Lolly is such a light pretty color I decided not to add a piece of Basic White inside my card but I did stamp a little ladybug inside.

The accordion fold I used for my card today is perfect for the Awash In Beauty Designer Series Paper with all the pretty colors and flowers. To create this pretty card, start with a piece of Designer Series Paper cut to 5-1/4″ x11-3/4″, score on the long side at 1-3/4″, 4-3/4″, & 7-3/4″. Then adhere the largest side of the fun fold to the cardstock card base.

Inside I adhered a piece of Basic White dies cut from the Scallop Contours Dies.

I stamped the sentiments, then die cut the labels with the Something Fancy Dies. Then I stamped and die cut flowers and foliage using the new Irresistable Blooms Bundle, which will be available beginning March 1st. Then I used Blending Brushes to shade in the blooms and foliage. I layered the sentiments and flowers on the Designer Series Paper.

I added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flowers and Brushed Brass Butterflies as the final touch for this pretty card.

I love how this card turned out so I made a few more and used the Deckled Rectangles Dies as well as the Scallop Contours Dies for the inside of the card.

Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop Lucky Clover Treats

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2023 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you again for the third year. This year we are shaking things up and bringing you all new monthly themes to inspire your next project!

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants, you can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting!

Our first Blog Hop Theme of 2023 is Sweet Treats!

My festive St. Patrick’s Day Treats were inspired by the Jan-June 2023 Mini Catalog. Page 8 of the mini catalog I noticed these cute treats created with the Country Floral Lane Suite. These cute treats can be recreated for any occasion and they are quick to make.

I have been waiting for a St. Patrick’s Day stamp set, the Luck Clover Bundle first bundle I put on my mini catalog shopping list. It was perfect for creating these treat holders for St. Patrick’s Day or to just wish someone good luck!

To create the wrappers I started with a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 6-3/4″. On the long side score the cardstock at 2″, 2-1/4″, 4-1/2″, 4-3/4″. Then I stamped the clovers in Granny Apple Green along the top and bottom edges. I used Tear & Tape to adhere the wrapper closed. The Dandy Designs DSP layer of the wrapper is cut to 4-1/2″ x 6-3/4″, for this layer of the wrapper I didn’t make any score lines, I just wrapped it around the cardstock layer and adhered again with Tear & Tape.

To decorate the font of the wrappers I used Basic White Cardstock and die cut the scalloped circle with the All That Dies and stamped clovers on them in Granny Apple Green. I stamped each of the sentiments in Granny Apple Green and snipped them out with my paper snips. I adhered them with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped the large clovers in Granny Apple Green using the Stamparatus. I prefer to stamp with Stamparatus on larger solid images works better for me than using a clear block, this way I can re-ink and stamp the image if it’s not clear. I punched them out with the Lucky Clover Punch and added them to the wrapper with Mini Glue Dots.

I can’t resist adding a little bling to my projects and for these fun treats I added a few Iridescent Pastel Gems. Before slipping in the chocolate bar I wrapped a piece of the Burlap Ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo pack around the bar. Then tied them at the top with a piece of White Crinkle Seam binding colored with Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends.

One of the Stamp sets I received with my pre-order is the Seaside Bay Stamp set. I I love the crab image in this set. It reminds me of the summers when I was a kid, we spent a week at the beach with my grandparents. Every year one night for dinner we would have a bushel of steamed crabs. Grandad taught us how to open them, pick them and crack open the claws.

To create my card I started with a Balmy Blue Cardbase. I selected 3 patterns from the By The Bay Specialty Designer Series Paper. I cut 2 strips of the DSP to 1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and attached them to the front of the cardbase. I love the pattern of the Night of Navy DSP pattern it looks like water.

With a second pattern of the By the Bay DSP I trimmed it to 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ and adhered it to the cardbase.

To create the label, I selected a 3rd pattern of the By the Bay DSP and trimmed it to 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″. I adhered it to the Night of Navy pattern cut to 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″. On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy and added the sand stamp in Sahara Sand. I die cut it with the Something Fancy Dies. I attached it to the label layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the crab on Basic White in Pacific Point and fussy cut it out and adhered it to the sentiment.

To finish the front of the card I added a few Iridescent Pastel Gems! I love a bit of sparkle on a card.

Inside the card I added a Basic White panel with a strip of DSP cut to 1/2″ x 5-1/2″.

All the amazing products I used to create my card, Seaside Bay Stamp Set, Something Fancy Dies, By the Bay Specialty DSP (pictured below with the Iridescent Pastel Gems) will be available beginning January 5, 2023!!

Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – Halloween Treat

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop!

We hope you enjoy our Halloween Theme!

We are excited to share projects with you again this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects using Stampin’ Up! products. Happy Crafting!

The kid in me thinks of candy, candy and candy at Halloween. I remember as a kid, sleeping with my candy bag so that my favorite candy, gum, snickers, rolos and twizzlers…. wouldn’t mysteriously disappear in the night. With candy in mind, I decided to feature treat packaging for Halloween with the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies and the Pretty Pillow Box Dies.

I die cut the Mini Pocket Envelope and Pillow Box using the Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper. I just love how shimmery this paper is and its perfect for Halloween. I used the star stamp from the Alphabest Stamp set and Pumpkin Pie ink to decorate the inside of the envelope and box.

I used the Designer Tags Dies and Basic White cardstock to create the tags for the treats. Using the stars again, I stamped them in So Saffron on the tag, then stamped the Trick Or Treat in Pumpkin Pie ink. Before I made these tags I did a few tests on some scrap cardstock with different colors and lining up the letters. I really liked the effect of not linking up the letters and leaving some of them a little crooked.

Stampin’ Blends are great for adding color to ribbon, embellishments as well as coloring images. I used the Pie Stampin’ Blends to add color the super cute Black & White Gingham Ribbon.

Dragonfly Garden – Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop!

We hope you enjoy our Nature Theme!

We are excited to share projects with you again this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects using Stampin’ Up! products.

July is world watercolor month so I decided to create my card with watercoloring and the Dragonfly Garden Stamp set. I still have the Stampin’ Up! Water Painter I bought years ago so I finally purchased a new set. I love these Water Painters! I used all three brush tips on my card. If you’ve never used them I highly recommend giving them a try.

I started stamping the flower image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set on a piece of Masking Paper and fussy cut it out. Then I stamped the same image a piece of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and used the Making Paper to stamp the images several more times. The Masking Paper helped with stamping the image over top of stamped images so make it look like a full field of wildflowers.

To paint my nature scene, I used the ink in the inkpad lids. The wide tipped brush was great for painting the blue sky, the medium brush tip was great for painting some of the spaces between the flowers and the fine brush tip was excellent for painting the flowers, leaves and stems.

I adhered the watercolor paper to a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock, then adhered the it to the Basic White cardbase.

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Vellum cardstock with StazOn Ink and punched it with the Lasting Label Punch. I adhered the label to the card with Mini Glue Dots. I stamped the dragonfly image on a piece of watercolor paper and painted it. Then punched it out with the Dragonfly punch. I adhered it over the edge of the label with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Last, I added a few of the Brushed Brass Butterflies.
