Home for the Holidays & An Olive Story

I am excited to share the Home for the Holidays Paper Pumpkin kit with you today!! I had a chance to sit down and create these colorful holiday cards.

I really wanted to do an unboxing video of this adorable Paper Pumpkin Kit – Home for the Holidays, however, Olive had other ideas.

Olive is my Treeing Walker Coonhound, and she is usually sleeping next to my desk when I’m crafting. I setup my lighting, my phone to record the video and got the video started. I was halfway through creating the first card when she woke up. She smelled the stinky skunk outside and insisted on investigating. After investigating she was ready to get back in her bed when she started to reverse sneeze. If you’ve never heard a dog reverse sneeze its quite alarming the first time. By this time she settled back down at least 45 minutes had passed and it was getting late so I stopped recording for the evening.

Fast foward a week, I tried again to record a video for you and guess what?? Yup, it happened again. Olive woke up and insisted on sniffing all around the desk, nudging my arm to make her presense known and decided she needed to go out to sniff the air. I’m still working on editing the video and I hope it’s useable.

I didnt want to wait any longer to share the cards with you. They are so cute and easy to create. My favorite element in this kit is the glitter glue. It adds a subtle touch of sparkle, and I do love a little sparkle. These cards have lots of vibrant color and dimension too. Aren’t they cute?!

Unboxing Video – With Love & Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit

My September Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived in the mail yesterday! I’ve been looking forward to this kit and couldn’t wait to open it. I love the soft colors of this pretty kit which includes gold foil die cuts.

Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop – Fun Fold

This fun fold was inspired by a card Patty Bennett shared with the Luv 2 Stamp Group at a team event several years ago. It’s one of my favorite folds which I’ve used before. Click Here to see my Dragonfly Fun Fold Card that I created using this same layout.

I used the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper on Misty Moonlight cardstock for the base of my card. I thought this pattern looked like water and would go well with the image from the In the Moment stamp set. I used the Basics 3D Embossing folders to emboss the BoHo Blue cardstock which I layered on Basic White Cardstock to add some texture to the card. With a piece of Basic White stock I used paper snips to cut the flag on one end of the cardstock. The “Warm Hello” sentiment from the Circle Sayings stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink. then adhered the flag to the BoHo Blue cardstock layer.

Next, I stamped and colored the image from In the Moment stamp set with Stampin’ Blends, punched it out with a 2-3/8″ Circle Punch. I attached it to the flag with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Inside my card I added another strip of the same Designer Series Paper. To finish the card I’ve added a few 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

Here are both my cards side by side. The same layout but with different elements and stamp sets.

This month my customer thank you cards feature the Circle Saying Bundle along with the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper. I love the pattern of pretty little Bubble Bath flowers and the Garden Green cardstock really makes it stand out.

The Stylish Shapes Dies were the perfect choice to make circle layers for the sentiment. Of course I had to a touch of bling with the Gold Trim and the Brushed Brass Butterflies.
