For this month’s Easter theme my cards feature the cute bunny in the Easter Friends Stamp Set. I decided to try something a little different using Watercolor Paper and Watercolor Painters. The grass was created using Granny Apple Green and Garden Green reinkers by brushing the color with Watercolor Painters along the bottom of the Watercolor Paper.

Then using a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink pad I brushed the ink onto the watercolor paper to create the sk. Using the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum and the Peach Dies, I added a few little flowers with Mini Glue Dots. Then layered the Watercolor cardstock on Soft Seafoam Cardstock and then on a So Saffron and Balmy Blue card base.

I stamped a couple of bunnies in Gray Granite and Smoky Slate on Basic White cardstock. I used the Light Flirty Flamingo Blends to color in the bunny nose, then fussy cut them out. I’ve added them to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black on Vellum. I trimmed them down and punched the end of the strip with the Banners Pick a Punch. I put 2 Mini Glue dots on the back of the Vellum by rolling the up into tiny little strips and placing them behind the H in Happy and the S in Easter. To finish them off I added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels.

Luv 2 Stamp Group Blog Hop-January 2022

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you again this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants, you can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Love.

This month, my cards were created with Valentine’s Day in mind. I decided to use the Celebrate You stamp set and the Sweet Talk DSP, both are available in the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog.

Before creating my card, I wanted to make some colorful hearts. So, using Blending Brushes, I brushed the same colors of ink that are in the Sweet Talk DSP on a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the smaller heart from the Heart Punch Pack to punch out the hearts. I love the soft colors (the Subtles color family is my favorite) and I have lots of extras to use on more cards or other projects.

My Basic White Cardbase is cut to 4-1/4″x11″. I cut a piece of Sweet Talk DSP at an angle to add the bottom of my card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then added a few pieces of Tear & Tape along the edge of the DSP to add a piece of Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon. I wanted to be sure to leave some white space between the ribbon and DSP.

I used my Stamp-a-majig to add the sentiment along the edge of the ribbon. You could also use the Stamparatus to line up the sentiment before stamping.

I punched the scalloped hearts from the Heart Punch Pack to layer behind the hearts I created earlier. I added the hearts to my card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. As much as I LOVE to add bling to a card, I decided to add just a subtle touch with a Wink of Stella, I brushed it lightly on the tiny hearts on the DSP. I tired get a good picture of the shimmer but that was not to be. Anyway, I wanted the bling to be subtle so these could be given as masculine Valentine’s cards. However, you could dress them up with some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Polished Dots or even the From My Heart Faceted Gems.

Gingerbread & Peppermint Treat Box

Today I have fun treat packaging idea to share with you. I dressed up a Mini Paper Pumpkin box with the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Cards Pack and the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks. The Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Cards can be used for so many projects, not just cards. So, let me show you how I did it.

Decorating the Box

To begin, with the Mini Paper Pumpkin box laying flat, I used some painters tape to hold the Decorative Mask in place. Using a Blending Brush and Poppy Parade ink pad, I brushed the ink on the top of the box, the front edge and the back edges. I love the candy cane stripe background that the mask gives for the layers I added on the top of the box.

Next, I fussy cut the star from on the Memories & More Cards Pack and using the Scalloped Contours Dies, die cut the rectangle in Poppy Parade cardstock. I adhered the Poppy Parade rectangle to the Mini Paper Pumpkin box with Liquid Glue, then added the Star with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The little snowflakes are stickers from the Memories & More Cards pack. I added some Subtle Shimmer Sequins to give it a little sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my project!

I’d love to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. All the Stampin’ Up! supplies used to make my project are available in my online store. Simply click any of the product photos below!

Tidings & Trimmings Treat Box

I dressed up this Mini Paper Pumpkin box with the Tidings of Christmas Suite, available in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. It is one of my favorite Christmas suites. I love the fonts of the sentiments, the classic colors and images for Christmas. The suite includes the Tidings & Trimmings Stamps, Christmas Trimmings Dies, Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper, and the Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Chevron Weave Ribbon. Click the image below to order yours!

Before decorating the Mini Paper Pumpkin box, I cut the Tidings of Christmas DSP for the box and took the picture below for reference on where to place all the pieces. You will need to cut:

  • (1) 3 5/8 x 5 3/8”, for the Top of the box
  • (2) 7/8 x 5 3/8”, for the Front and Back edges of the box
  • (2) 7/8 x 3 3/8”, for the Left and Right edges of the box

Let’s Decorate the Box

First, cut a 6 1⁄2” piece of Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon and adhered it to the 3-5/8″ x 5-3/8″ DSP, then adhered the DSP to the top of the box. Next, I adhered the 7/8″ x 5-3/8″ DSP on the Front and Back edges, and the 7/8″ x 3-3/8″ DSP to the left and right edges. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere all the DSP pieces, with liquid glue you have a few moments to make sure that the DSP is right where you want it.

The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly labels. I die cut a second label and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to layer the sentiment on the larger label. I positioned it over the ribbon slightly to the left to ensure room to add the star.

I die cut the base of the star in Soft Succulent cardstock. Using adhesive sheets with gold foil, I die cut the detailed star layer. The adhesive sheet made it very easy to adhere it to the Soft Succulent cardstock star. If you haven’t tried adhesive sheets yet, I highly recommend them for detailed die cutting. I attached the star using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels were the finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! I’d love to be your Demonstrator. If you’d like to purchase any of the supplies I used for this project, Click on the link(s) the below.

Holly Jolly Wishes

I usually prefer traditional colors of red, green and white for Christmas cards but just couldn’t resist making a card with the Holly Jolly Wishes Cling Stamp set & the Whimsy & Wonder DSP. I love the colors in this DSP, and the iridescent foil in the patterns give it the perfect touch of bling!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base and added a layer of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP. I love the packages in this pattern. In keeping with the pattern of the DSP, I added the Glittered Organdy Ribbon wrapped around the top of the card like a package.

I added one of the Wonderful Snowflakes, which are part of the Whimsy & Wonder Suite Collection. It coordinates beautifully with the Whimsy & Wonder DSP. Then I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Basic White cardstock. Using the Layering Circles Dies, I die cut the sentiment and layered it on a scallop circle that I die cut from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP. I really like the subtle look of the pattern on the DSP showing.

To finish my card I added an In Color Jewel to the Snowflake and tied the ribbon bow and attached it to the card with a glue dot. And last but not least, I brushed a Wink of Stella on the Misty Moonlight scalloped circle.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Card Measurements:

  • Card base: 5-1/2″x 8-1/2″, score in half at 4-1/4″
  • DSP layer: 4′ x 5-1/4″

Candy Canes

I love candy canes at Christmas. During the holidays I keep them on my desk at work, I put them on the Christmas tree and we alway have extras so I’m usually still enjoying them after Christmas.

Of course I had to have the new Candy Cane background stamp available in the July – August Mini Catalog. It’s the perfect stamp for simple stamping with just ink, stamps and paper. I have found that the best way for me to get a clear image when using a background stamp is to use my Stamparatus. It allows me to stamp multiple times without fear of not lining up the image correctly. It was so easy I decided to make one with Real Red and one with Garden Green.

The sentiment I choose for these cards is from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set, with pairs perfectly with this background stamp. To dress the card up a bit I used a bit of Gold Foil Specialty paper with the sentiment layer. It was quick and easy to put these simple, cute cards together.

Candy Cane Card Measurements:

  • Real Red Card Base: 5 ½ x 8 ¼”, score at 4 ¼”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4 x 5 ¼”, 1 ½ x 2″
  • Real Red Cardstock: 1 ¾ x 2 ¼”
  • Gold Foil: 1 5/8 x 2 1/8″
