For the Books Bundle was at the top of my mini catalog shopping list. I love books and had to have this set. The mini catalog sample is the inspiration for my slimline card. It reminds me of my bookshelf with stacks of books. I have books piled in my bedroom and my craft room too. You can never have too many books, right?!
The first thing I did was decide how to create the gold accents on the book binding. My first try was the Wild Wheat Stampin’ Write Marker and Wink of Stella. Actually, I’m not a Wild Wheat fan at all so I don’t have the Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blend Marker. My second try was the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and Wink of Stella. I thought this was too light, so I added the Ivory Stampin’ Blend Marker, which still wasn’t quite right. My third try, I use the Ivory first, then the Dark Daffodil Delight and last the Wink of Stella. Perfect!
The card base for my slimline card is Basic White Thick cardstock cut to 7″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 3-1/2″. I stamped the book images on to my card base with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them with quite a few Stampin’ Blends.
To create the shelves, I cut 1/4″ strips of Crumb Cake cardstock. To create the label, I used Masking Paper on several stamps to create the sentiment and die cut it with the Nested Essentials dies. I die cut a second label in Misty Moonlight, cut it in half and layered it beneath the sentiment, then added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Of course, I had to add a little sparkle with the Glossy Dots.

Sentimental Christmas Suite Collection Project Ideas
Here are some beautiful project ideas using the Sentimental Christmas suite from Stampin’ Up!.
I love a snow day! Instead of going out and running errands as we had planned, we stayed in and had a relaxing day while we watched the snow fall. I took advantage of the day to make some cards.
I used one of my favorite things from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog ~ Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards Pack. I’m loving the pretty spring color pallet and the pink foil accents of the stickers.
I paired the Cards Pack with the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards and Envelopes. The coordination of the card pack and cards & envelopes make card making quick and easy.
To create this card, I cut a Basic White CS layer and punched a corner with the Very Best Trio punch. I added a small 3″ x 4″ Sweet Thoughts Memory & More card to the Basic White layer, also punching one of the corners with the Very Best Trio punch. I die cut a stitched circle with the Stylish Shapes Dies. With the inside of one of the envelopes from the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More cards & envelopes I punch a 2-1/4″ Circle, then layered it on the stitched circle. To finish the card I added the Happy Birthday stickers, a few flower stickers and some Brushed Brass Butterflies.
My second card also includes a layer of what looks like Designer Series paper but its actually the inside of the envelope I used on the first card, I love all the pretty colors and It added the perfect touch to the cards, don’t you think? The sentiment is stamped with the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and punched with the Hexagon punch. More Brushed Brass Butterflies complete this pretty card.
My favorite element on this third card is the butterfly. I fussy cut it from one the 4″ x 6″ Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card. I think it looks so pretty with the 3″ x 4″ card. I used my favorite Scalloped Contours Dies to add a few layers in Basic White and Pretty Peacock cardstock.
This last card was created with a layer of Pebbled Path cardstock with a layer of the Sale-A-Bration Softly Stippled Designer Series paper. On the Calypso Coral cardstock layer I stamped some flowers from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set in Calypso Coral ink. The final layer is another 3″ x 4″ Memories and More card with a few of the stickers with foil accents.
Have you created cards with the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards yet? I hope you’ll give them a try.

It’s March and that means St. Patrick’s Day is coming soon and I think of all things green! The Lucky Clover stamp set isn’t just for St. Patrick’s day, it’s a great set for creating cards of appreciation and support. This set features clover images in various style and sizes. The bigger clover make a fun focal point and the smaller clovers are perfect for accents.
This simple stamped card I have to share with you today was created with the Note Cards & Envelopes, The Lucky Clover stamp set and the Shaded Spruce ink pad. That’s it! It’s easy to create a simple and pretty card with just paper, ink and stamps. I also stamped a clover on the envelope for a fun detail.

Have you ever tried stamping on ribbon? It’s an easy and fun way to personalize ribbon for gift boxes, cards, bags etc. I stamped on both the Natural finish Ribbon and the Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon for my gift boxes.
To create the box bottom, I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock at 7″ x 7″, score on all four sides at 1-1/4″. Cut slits for the tabs. I added a few small pieces of Tear & Tape on each tab, then folded them to create the corners.
For the box top, I used a piece of By the Bay 6″ x6″ DSP, scored on all four sides at 3/4″. Again I cut the slits for the tabs. I added a few small pieces of Tear & Tape on each tab, then folded them to create the corners.
Next, I stamped hearts with the Country Bouquet Stamp set in Night of Navy directly on the Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon. To keep the ink from smearing, leave the ribbon to try, I let this ribbon sit for about a half hour. You’ll want to wait longer for a heavier ribbon like the Natural Finish Ribbon that I used on a second box. Once dry I tied the ribbon on the box.
The tag is made with Tailor Made Tags Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy then, die cut the bird from the By the Bay DSP with the Seaside Bay Dies and adhered to the tag. To finish the tag I added a few Flat Pearls and tied it to the bow with White Bakers Twine.
I created this second box with the Country Bouquet Collection Suite.

Our first Blog Hop Theme of 2023 is Sweet Treats!
My festive St. Patrick’s Day Treats were inspired by the Jan-June 2023 Mini Catalog. Page 8 of the mini catalog I noticed these cute treats created with the Country Floral Lane Suite. These cute treats can be recreated for any occasion and they are quick to make.
I have been waiting for a St. Patrick’s Day stamp set, the Luck Clover Bundle first bundle I put on my mini catalog shopping list. It was perfect for creating these treat holders for St. Patrick’s Day or to just wish someone good luck!
To create the wrappers I started with a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 6-3/4″. On the long side score the cardstock at 2″, 2-1/4″, 4-1/2″, 4-3/4″. Then I stamped the clovers in Granny Apple Green along the top and bottom edges. I used Tear & Tape to adhere the wrapper closed. The Dandy Designs DSP layer of the wrapper is cut to 4-1/2″ x 6-3/4″, for this layer of the wrapper I didn’t make any score lines, I just wrapped it around the cardstock layer and adhered again with Tear & Tape.
To decorate the font of the wrappers I used Basic White Cardstock and die cut the scalloped circle with the All That Dies and stamped clovers on them in Granny Apple Green. I stamped each of the sentiments in Granny Apple Green and snipped them out with my paper snips. I adhered them with Mini Glue Dots.
I stamped the large clovers in Granny Apple Green using the Stamparatus. I prefer to stamp with Stamparatus on larger solid images works better for me than using a clear block, this way I can re-ink and stamp the image if it’s not clear. I punched them out with the Lucky Clover Punch and added them to the wrapper with Mini Glue Dots.
I can’t resist adding a little bling to my projects and for these fun treats I added a few Iridescent Pastel Gems. Before slipping in the chocolate bar I wrapped a piece of the Burlap Ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo pack around the bar. Then tied them at the top with a piece of White Crinkle Seam binding colored with Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends.
